POOBAH

Poobah
1989 - Switch On 320

What were you doing in the 80's. I know that in 1989 you released "Switch On"...

In the 80's and on ,I have never stopped playing live or recording songs. Some of the recordings , I did not like, so I never tried to get those released. However, I have some great tracks yet to see the light of day.I am in talks to release these unheard Poobah songs from the 80's, 90's. I went thru lots of changes in members, but what can you do, just keep plugging away. The main thing is, at least I did record my songs, so in the future you will get to hear these Poobah recordings.

SUBWAY SUCK

Subway Suck
1979 - Little Red Album 320

"The Subway Suck was formed as a trio in 1977. They recorded a single, N.R.K., which was banned by the record company. At this point, they joined forces with singer Dag Ingebrigtsen, and began playing gigs. They even played support for The Boys. In 1979 they start working on their debut album, “Subway Suck’s little red album”. This was released later that year, on… red vinyl. In the summer of ’79, the band tried their luck in “Battle of the bands”/”NM for rockeband”, where they came in third place. After this, they head into the studio to begin work on their second album. By now, they have a fall out with the record company, and they are left without a recording deal. At the end of ‘79, they decide to split up the band. Some of the members would later rise to fame (and fortune?) in bands like The Kids, TNT and Stage Dolls".

DIRTY DAVE OSTI

Dirty Dave Osti
2010 - Voodoo Guitar 320

"Voodoo Guitar", the way-kool debut studio disc by this bad-ass, killer blues/rock axeripper from Los Angeles, features 10 tracks of hard-assed, get-down, nasty, rough & ready, blues-based heavy guitar power trio riffage that will rock your low-down blues and kick your ass right into the next county. Dirty Dave Osti is a bonafide blues/rock guitar hero who can rip it hard with the best of them. The man gets down to serious six string business and rocks the blues with wild abandon as the Dirty One cuts loose and goes for the throat nailing down each muscular riff with sheer force and relentless groove. Osti knows when to jam hard and when to kick back @ the shack for an unforgettable, dynamic, blues/rock guitar ride. Fierce and powerful blues-based heavy guitar riffage rules in the world of Dirty Dave Osti. Best known for playing and contributing the bulk of the riffage on the Gentlemen's Blues Club discs, "Voodoo Guitar" is pure, unadultered Dirty Dave Osti strat-slingin' "mojo" to the bluesy core.
The Dirty Dave Osti: "Voodoo Guitar" disc is a killer Grooveyard approved slice of bad-ass, blues/rock riffage that is Highly recommended to fans of James Marshall Hendrix, Trower, ZZ Top, Johnny Winter, Rory Gallagher, SRV, Michael Katon, Jay Hooks, Guitar Pete, Lance Lopez, Wes Jeans, Clas Yngstrom (Sky High), Buddaheads & Gentlemen's Blues Club, among other outstanding, killer, blues-based heavy guitar rockers. This is the kind of Riffage your Mama warned you about!!! Look out, cuz' "Voodoo Guitar" is gonna get ya!!! (http://www.grooveyardrecords.com/dirtydaveostivoodooguitar-.html)

LINKS AROUND THE WORLD: CONDITION GREEN

Condition Green
1978 - Life Of Change FLAC/320

Condition Green, a motley band of volume worshipers from Japan whose first two albums, Life Of Change and Mixed Up, can (mostly) stand tall amongst the contemporary classics (prime era Grand Funk, Ted Nugent, Mountain, etc.). Guitarist Shinki (not to be confused with Yokohama guitarist Shinki Chen) in particular is a monster, even if he can get a bit Santana-esque at moments throughout Life Of Change (particularly the back half of "Heart Breaker," and especially on the conga infused "Sugar Baby Good Time.") The group really builds up a serious head of steam on that latter track, starting with a slow, simmering groove that sits somewhere between "Oye Como Va" and "Spooky." You could call this stuff dated, if you're a glass-is-half-empty type, but there's no denying the Allman Brothers boogie of "Trick," or the early Led Zeppelin strut of "Heart Taker."
